Helping Hand Fund

In addition to positively impacting the communities where we live and work, HD Supply is committed to helping our associates in need. Our charitable foundation, the Helping Hand Fund, is designed to provide short-term, emergency financial assistance to associates who are experiencing hardship due to life events such as natural disasters, medical crises, or death of a loved one. Specifically, the HD Supply Helping Hand Fund offers grants to help pay for utilities, temporary housing, food, and clothing. Since its inception in 2007, the Helping Hand Fund has donated more than $1.1 million to HD Supply associates and their families.

With the massive spread and destruction of the Northern California wildfires in 2017, there was a great need for assistance. To continue the good work of HD Supply’s Helping Hand Fund – and to keep meeting the needs of our HD Supply family affected by the numerous, recent natural disasters – we encouraged associates to contribute to a giving campaign. To do his part, our Chairman and CEO Joe DeAngelo personally pledged to match all associate donations dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000.
