Communities in Need

HD Supply’s community relations strategy is driven by our goal to support our customers, associates and members of the communities where we operate. Our efforts to help communities are focused on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of communities. To that end, we contribute to food banks, provide disaster relief and sponsor local events.

HD Supply consistently takes care of its people, and I am so proud to work for a company that not only takes care of our associates’ lives but also our community.

Amanda Castillo, Regional Human Resources

We have supported a variety of local organizations including City of Hope, Habitat for Humanity, World Vision and LiveSafe. Below, we highlight several initiatives in 2017.

  • Our Facilities Maintenance business team hosted a live auction, dinner, raffle, and golf tournament with supplier partners that raised more than $450,000 for City of Hope, a biomedical research, treatment, and education institution committed to finding solutions for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases.
  • HD Supply associates in the Houston area volunteered at the Houston food bank, distributing more than 30,000 meals to neighbors in need, including families still dealing with the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.
  • Our Sacramento distribution center organized a donation delivery of toiletries and water to evacuation centers in Napa Valley for victims of the wildfires in October 2017.
  • Facilities Maintenance associates in Marietta volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank to sort, inspect and package 11,467 pounds of food, equivalent to 8,729 meals for members of the community.
