Diversity & Inclusion

We believe that talent comes in many forms. Our diverse pool of talent brings unique experiences, interests, thoughts, and behaviors to our company and is representative of our customers, associates and community of neighbors. We are committed to creating a diverse work environment where all associates are included, respected, and encouraged to do their best work.

We believe that talent comes in many forms. Our diverse pool of associates brings unique experiences, interests, thoughts and behaviors to our company and is representative of our customers, associates and community of neighbors. We are committed to creating a diverse work environment where all associates feel heard, respected and empowered to do their best work.

Every day we work harder to become a leader in our industry. We recognize if we want to lead, we need diverse backgrounds and thought leadership. For this reason, we work to make our community a place of inclusive collaboration and teamwork.

As a part of this journey, we have determined an actionable DEI focus on recruiting and hiring diverse talent, evaluating performance equitably and succession planning.

We continue to launch trainings that better support an inclusive and equitable environment for our associates. This includes trainings at all levels of the organization, beginning with senior leadership.

In 2018, Chief People Officer, Anna Stevens received the Leadership Excellence Award from Georgia Diversity Council for her leadership in developing DEI programming at HD Supply. This continued focus on culture-building programming has created an inclusive space where associates feel like a part of the HD Supply team.

Along with these efforts, we have business resource groups that encourage conversations and open dialogue about diversity in the workplace. The Women’s Connect group hosts training webinars, networking events and luncheons. Our Community Connect group participates in volunteerism and donation efforts to support diverse organizations within our communities.

Supporting Associates On Active Duty

HD Supply is committed to honoring the brave veterans who have served and defended our country. We are also dedicated to hiring veterans, active duty military service members, guardsmen, and reservist members. We understand that military service develops an appreciation for hard work and inspirational loyalty, and we are extremely grateful for the veterans and active duty service men and women who are part of our HD Supply family.

In 2017, the Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program honored members of the HD Supply Facilities Maintenance and Construction & Industrial teams with the Patriotic Employer Award for their support of National Guard and Reserve associates and for their understanding during times of redeployment and reserve training. The Patriotic Employer Award was created to publicly recognize individuals and entities that provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their associates.
